FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Over the Windward Islands and areas further south, partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with scattered showers, which may be heavy in some locations, and isolated thunderstorms. Over the Leeward Islands, fair to partly cloudy with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moist and unstable conditions, will continue to generate some cloudy periods with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the southern half of the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave is expected to affect the Lesser Antilles late Friday into Saturday.

At 5:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm Victor was located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic near latitude 9.9 degrees north, longitude 30.0 degrees west.  Victor is moving towards the west-northwest near 14 mph or 22 km/h with a turn towards northwest expected over the weekend. Victor is expected to remain over the open Atlantic and poses no threat to the Lesser Antilles.
