FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy, hazy and breezy, becoming cloudy at times with a few scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms, mainly over the extreme southern portion of the Lesser Antilles. Further north, fair to partly cloudy, hazy and breezy with isolated showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave, will cause some cloudy periods with showers and possibly thunderstorms, over the extreme southern portion our region during the forecast period.

A plume of Saharan dust will continue to cause a significant reduction in visibility and air quality around our region over the next few days.

At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Victor was located near latitude 13.1 degrees north, longitude 37.2 degrees west. Victor is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph or 19 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next few days. Victor is expected to remain over the open Atlantic and poses no threat to the Lesser Antilles.
