Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave will cause some cloudy periods with showers and isolated thunderstorms over our region during the next 24 hours.
A plume of Saharan dust will cause a significant reduction in visibility and air quality around our region over the next few days.
At 5:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Victor was located near latitude 12.8 degrees north, longitude 36.3 degrees west. Victor is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph or 85 km/h, with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next few days. Victor is expected to remain over the open Atlantic and poses no threat to the Lesser Antilles.
