TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability associated with an approaching tropical wave will cause some cloudy periods with showers and isolated thunderstorms over our region during the next 24 hours.

A plume of Saharan dust haze is expected to reduce visibility and air quality around our region over the next few days.

At 5:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm Victor was located near latitude 12.0 degrees north, longitude 34.3 degrees west. Victor is moving towards the west-northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph or 100 km/h, with higher gusts. Victor is expected to remain over the open Atlantic and poses no threat to the Lesser Antilles.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during the next five days.
