TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Lingering moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave will continue to generate cloudiness, showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms mainly over the southern half of Lesser Antilles, during the forecast period.

A strong tropical wave located about 950 miles east-southeast of the southern Windward Islands, is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next couple of days. This system is forecast to reach the Windward Islands on Tuesday night and move over the south eastern Caribbean Sea on Wednesday and Thursday. Interest in the Windward Islands should monitor the progress of this system.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave has a low chance of further development during the next five days.

A fourth tropical wave just off the west African coast is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h.
