23.4 North, longitude 65.4 West. Earl is moving toward the north near 7 mph or 11 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph or 100 km/h, with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast and Earl could become a hurricane later this week.

A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.

A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone development within during the next five days.
