TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
A low-level trough will continue to cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms, over parts of the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.


A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.


A broad area of low pressure associated with another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone development within the next five days.


A third tropical wave is forecast to emerge off the west coast of Africa during the next day or two. Some gradual development of this system is possible during the next five days, while it moves generally westward across the eastern Tropical Atlantic.


Tropical Storm Earl was upgraded to Hurricane Earl overnight and continues to move slowly northward away from our region. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 80 mph or 130 km/h, with higher gusts. Hurricane Earl pose no direct threat to our region.
