FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy and hazy, becoming cloudy at times with a few scattered showers. An increase in cloudiness and showers, with isolated thunderstorms is expected over the Windward Islands and areas further south from late tonight into tomorrow.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High Pressure System will generate moderate easterly winds across the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.

A plume of Saharan dust will continue to cause a reduction in visibility, shower activity and air quality over the Eastern Caribbean region, for the next few days.

A weak area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms about 650 miles or 1046 km east of the Windward Islands. This system has a low chance of development during the next 7 days as it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic and eastern Caribbean Sea. Locally heavy rainfall is possible across the Windward Islands from late tonight into tomorrow.

Two tropical waves located over the central and eastern Tropical Atlantic are both moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
