TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Saharan dust haze will continue to cause a reduction in air quality and visibility across the region during the next few days.

Moist and unstable conditions over the region, will continue to cause cloudiness with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the next 24 hours.

An approaching tropical wave a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles is expected to cause an increase in cloudiness with moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms over our region from late Saturday.

A broad area of low pressure located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving west-northwest near 16 mph or 26 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 2 days.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is associated with a broad area of low pressure and is moving westward near 18 mph or 30 km/h. This system also has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 2 days.
