FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES
Fair skies, becoming cloudy at times with a few showers over the Leeward and northern Windward Islands. Further south, cloudy to overcast with scattered showers and thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Light to moderate winds will continue across the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone is expected to cause cloudy periods with scattered showers, and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the region during the forecast period.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Philippe was located near latitude 17.3 degrees north, longitude 45.5 degrees west. Philippe is moving toward the west near 13 mph or 20 km/h. A turn to the west-northwest is expected by tonight, and a northwestward motion is forecast to occur in a couple of days.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next few days. Philippe is expected to remain over the open water and poses no direct threat to our region.

A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next seven days.
