Partly cloudy skies, becoming cloudy at times with some scattered showers over the northern Windward and Leeward Islands. Further south, fair to occasionally cloudy skies with a few showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Light to moderate east-northeasterly winds will continue across the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.
Moist and unstable conditions will cause occasional cloudiness, with scattered showers over the central and northern portions of the Eastern Caribbean during the forecast period.

At 5:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm Philippe was located near latitude 17.3 degrees north, longitude 46.7 degrees west or 1080 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands. Philippe is moving toward the west near 15 mph or 24 km/h. A turn to the west-northwest is expected by tonight and a northwestward motion is forecast to occur in a couple of days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph or 75 km/h, with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next few days. Philippe is expected to remain over the open water and poses no direct threat to our region.

A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next seven days.
