FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to partly cloudy with a few showers over the Leeward to central Windward Islands. Further south, partly cloudy to cloudy at times with widely scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave, will continue to cause some scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles today.

A broad area of low pressure associated with another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 10 mph or 17 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days, and is expected to be in the vicinity of the northern Leeward Islands during the weekend.

A third tropical wave is forecast to move off the west coast of Africa tonight. Some gradual development of this system is possible during the next five days, while it moves generally westward across the eastern Tropical Atlantic.
