Over the Leeward and northern Windward Islands, it will be fair to partly cloudy and hazy with a few scattered showers. Further south, skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered light to moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Patches of low-level clouds drifting along an easterly wind flow will produce a few brief showers over the northern part of our region, during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave is expected to cause an increase in cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the central and southern portions of our region from tonight into tomorrow. A plume of Saharan dust haze is expected to cause a reduction in visibility and air quality over our region following the passage of this tropical wave.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and eastern Tropical Atlantic, are moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
